Chiang Mai: Explore kayaking through Mae Ping River on sunset

Sunset Kayaking on the Mae Ping River (Chiang Mai) Experience Chiang Mai from a unique perspective as you kayak along the Mae Ping River during the golden hours—late afternoon into early evening. This relaxed 5–6 km route takes you through scenic riverside life and into the city, with a mix of local atmosphere, urban views, and beautiful sunset light. You’ll be picked up from your accommodation between 16:30–17:00 and driven 20–30 minutes to the launch point. After a short safety briefing and introduction, you’ll start paddling downstream with your guide. Along the way, you’ll pass by the famous Warorot Market (Kad Luang) area, glide past colorful riverside restaurants, hotels, and bars, and kayak beneath several major bridges. As the sun sets, the river becomes especially lively—expect great scenery and plenty of birds flying overhead, creating a vibrant natural soundtrack. Kayaking time is approximately 1 hour 45 minutes, with a return transfer back to your accommodation around 19:20.
