We pass by some stunning rice fields and fruit orchards before we stop for a nice snack or fresh fruit at a local market. Riding along the Ping River we breathe in the local atmosphere that makes Chiang Mai so special. During the last stretch of our tour, we will pass through the historic settlement Wiang Kum Kam, founded in 1286 by King Mengrai. It was the capital of the Lanna empire for a period of only 10 years. We will see temples and ruins dating back hundreds of years. After visiting and photographing these ancient ruins, we will cycle back to our starting point. In addition to discovering the hidden gems of Chiang Mai, this tour also offers opportunities to rest, hydrate, and enjoy a small Thai meal (Khao Soy Kai) at a local restaurant.
